Jennifer Sankey, Board President, lawyer, UBC PhD law student
Experience
Jennifer Sankey is a PhD candidate at the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. Her research is in the area of constitutional law and Indigenous reconciliation. Prior to commencing doctoral studies, Jennifer taught law courses in the Criminology Department at Kwantlen Polytechnic University for 6 years and practiced civil litigation at a Vancouver law firm focusing on the areas of aboriginal and environmental law. She obtained her LL.M. from the University of Victoria and her LL.B. from the University of British Columbia. Jennifer has sat on various Boards devoted to social justice issues. She is passionate about volunteerism and community development.
